What a pleasure to work in the gallery! I love the work of Ken Davis, Fiona Mcleod, David Hay, Deborah Phillips ......etc., etc., etc. It won't be long until we open our winter exhibition - 16 days exactly. New work will be delivered. Can't wait!

Giorni piu Freddi - Autumn Exhibition & Robert Ryan glass art

New work arriving for the Autumn exhibition, Colder Days this week. I am looking forward to getting it all up on the walls! Robert Ryan came in today with his excellent new work. Check out some of these!!Robert's work really is best viewed in the flesh, as is most art, but these give a good representation of his work.
I love the way the light catches his work! Very sparkly!
There are photos up on the gallery facebook page.... and hopefully I'll get round to updating our website really soon!

CLOSED Sunday 27th June

My gorgeous niece is being Christened this Sunday, so unfortunately the gallery will be closed for the day. I'll still be around Callander, however, if anyone specifically wants to visit then. E-mail me at info@gallerialuti.co.uk if this is the case.

Peter Luti and new exhibition.

It's that time when we're just about to start hanging the new exhibition again. It always comes round much faster than I think it will! We have some absolute gems from Peter Luti again... good work dad!
He tells me that he's going on a 'research' trip to Barra next week (although the word PUB has been mentioned more than a couple of times). I'm happy though, as it means lots of new boaty paintings. Love it!
The new exhibition is looking like it's gonna be lovely and colourful - just what I like! And we have quite a few purple orientated paintings. Excellent - I love purple!
Check out the website Galleria Luti for all the new work as it arrives. Everything should be up by Saturday (fingers crossed), so looking forward to seeing all the lovely paintings on the walls.

Something a bit different - Peter Luti

Something new and a bit unsual from dad who has been busy painting away as normal.
He's used a different technique for this cathedral piece to give an eerie green effect on the lines of the building. Might take a bit of time to perfect this.... but it is definitely a good start!
He has come up with the goods (as he always does!) with some other pieces too.
And I'm quite excited as dad has been working on a gorgeous purple (my current colour of choice) and blue painting which will be ready soon. I love it already... it'd look grand in my new living room (hint, hint dad).
More pictures will be coming as and when pieces are finished. Check out all the art we have at http://www.gallerialuti.co.uk/

His paintings are powerful and mature capturing the effect of light on pastoral landscapes and beautiful mysterious still life compositions.
We are delighted to be exhibiting 5 of Davy's pieces in Galleria Luti which can all be seen on the website www.gallerialuti.co.uk

Women in the Trossachs

Last night we had a lovely evening with the Women in the Trossachs group, who came along to hear a bit about the gallery.
It was a nice opportunity to mingle and get some chat with like-minded women living and working in the area. Check out thir website at http://www.womeninthetrossachs.org.uk

I even made some mini pizzas for the occassion (which I think I ate most of! Yummy!).

Michael Kay Jewellery

Had a lovely chat with Michael Kay yesterday who was down with some new work. This little gold ring with a cubic zirconia is my absolute favourite piece of jewellery of all time.

I love it! I don't think it'll be on display for much longer as I may well snap it up for myself!
Michael's rule of thumb is that no two pieces he makes will be the same. It always makes for a delightful surprise when he brings work in.

This amethyst and moonstone choker (trillium) is lovely too - almost like angel wings. Good job Michael! You can see all of Michael's pieces at www.gallerialuti.co.uk or on our facebook page.

Scottish Gallery Guide: Peter Luti

Check out the new Scottish Gallery Guide supplement from Uptown Magazine at http://issuu.com/uptownmagazine/docs/scottish_gallery_guide_2010
You might just recognise the painting on the top right hand cover. Excellent choice of them, if I do say so myself.

L'Arte per la Primavera (Spring) Exhibition is Open

The Spring Exhibition is now open with some absolutely cracking pieces on show.
We've had a fairly busy time already this morning and the sun seems to have brought out the troops. Hoorah.
We welcome new artist Rob Mulholland (bowls piectured above), whose work looks fabulous!
Spring has definitely 'sprung' up a promising start to the exhibition. Long may it continue!

Spring Exhibition - Deborah Phillips

Deborah Phillips popped in at the weekend to deliver new work for the Spring exhibition. It's always so lovely to see her, and the new paintings are fab which is a bonus!
I particularly love these four long, thin ones. They look smashing together. As always Deborah's distinctly recognisable style catches the light perfectly - helped only by the fact that today is gloriously sunny. Long may it continue!!!Still trying to figure out the technical side of the Gallery's facebook page. All new work that's in the gallery have images on the page. Try a search for 'Galleria Luti' at www.facebook.com and hopefully you will find it!

Spring Exhibition preparations & Peter Luti

This week is delivery week... always an exciting time! The week before a new exhibition is generally our busiest with artists coming and going and new work being hung. Here's a wee sneak preview of some of dad's paintings that will be on show.
Hopefully this week I'll get some time to pop up some other images of new work too. I have made a facebook page for the gallery too, where I'll be updating images of paintings when they arrive at the gallery. It's easy to find (I think), just type 'Galleria Luti' into the Facebook search box and it should come up.

February 2010

Marsha is back from Canada. She skied while she was there. Since then she has become an Aunt to a baby girl, I now have two grandchildren and Marsh and I have skied at X-sport at Braehead. This was to see if I still had any skill, stamina, strength to ski when I go to see Peita, Andrew and the babbies. 3 hours of ski-ing have prompted us to spend a couple of days at Glencoe this coming week.

The gallery will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of February.

Let it snow ...........

Nobody about and who can blame him/her.

Marsha and I are both making plans for separate trips to Canada before the winter is out. This is to visit Luti / Stevenson family members, soon to be increased in number by one. Next exhibition is at the beginning of March 2010 for all who enter the Blog page.
